Not to get everyone off of the topic of their favorite drinks or anything, but I've got a question. If we (my son and I) were to come down Friday, is camping out on the quad over night allowed? How safe would it be out there, seeing as I would have my son? I hear a lot about crime stories around T-Town (as with every other big city), but was wandering if it is actually safer on campus. If camping out there overnight is cool, is there usually a large number of fans there overnight?

You'd be fine. Three of us stayed on the Quad all night last year, and after about 3 am or so, things got quiet, but there were still folks around. Some were in tents, but not many. There was a band (and a DJ maybe?) that were set up near Denny Chimes that stayed until around 2 am or so, and that area stayed pretty busy with folks. There are also security folks that stay out all night on the streets to make sure they stay blocked off, and there will be cops around as always.

Thanks, sounds cool. If it is just me and the boy, we may make our way on down there Friday night. If the rest of the crew wants to go, I KNOW it will be Saturday morning. LOL
