| RECRUIT Recruiting News: The Alabama class of 2017

Here's what I've heard regarding Joseph Bulovos....

He is ranked the No.1 kicker in the country (final update).

He received an offer from Alabama last night (waiting on confirmation)

He decommitted from Georgia Tech last night.

He is scheduled to visit Alabama this weekend.

Interesting that Todd Harris wanted to commit but was told to hold off, and is still interested. Lots of times the kids get mad and move on... Props to him for his maturity. Can't say I'd do the same.

Byers had 2 chances to get his test score a while back... I'm assuming one of them has come and gone? Would love him in the class despite the bad showing in January. Still see a perfect fit for our DL.

Obviously Solomon would be icing on the cake. Hard to tell if that is realistic or not? Hope so.

Really hope we score Henderson from Fla. Anymore the DB's are just as important as LT's. These spread teams are constantly working them. He seems like an Eddie Jackson type that the staff is completely sold on late in the process... Going for broke. Sign him up!

Thanks for the updates Alabama16. RTR

Have you guys looked at what Bama is doing in the state of Louisiana this year?

If you look at 247's rankings there's a chance Bama can pull four of the top five players out of their state.

Dylan Moses, from Louisiana, went to IMG last year so he's listed under state of Florida. Cough, cough, cough .... errr, enrolled.

Buggs? JUCO guy from Ruston, Louisiana.

Bulovos ... yet another one from the state of Louisiana.

For what it's worth, Mike Ferrel at Rivals has Solomon headed to Alabama still as of yesterday's updates. 247 has him to Tuscaloosa as well, albeit by a slimmer margin.

Lost me a little here, 334.

@TUSKstuff Is this one of your "primadonna's?" :D

His is one of the more strange recruiting stories of this class. I've a hard time getting a feel for what he's thinking and it certainly appears I'm not standing alone. One day we've got "Bama with a huge lead" followed a few days later with "undecided." Here's hoping he's having some fun with his visits, ya know?

The one thing we DO know ... Bama is in the thick of his recruitment.

I don't get how some of things things are "invented" on different sites. We're less than a week removed from other sites saying Solomon wasn't going to take any more in-home visits despite the fact Saban is scheduled to visit him Thursday.

In the end all I can say is how I feel today ... his is a situation where we're just going to have to sit back, be patient, and just let the cards fall where they may.

I look at these crystal ball predictions like this..... If BAMA has more than 10% and we get an OV and an in home, we are in dang good position to get the kid! In Solomon's case, I don't see him leaving the South.

Number one with a bullet. Solomon has already had to apologize for some unfortunate comments concerning Michigan. Nothing wrong in watching this, but I would turn the sound down.

Here's where you and I see this a bit differently. His "fuck Michigan" comment on Periscope (despite his reasoning) wasn't a mature move. But, I have to take into account he's a teenager. I also think it bears noting that his comment could easily be interpreted as "football/locker room banter."

That said ...

I do believe this is a sign of a kid maturing ...

Oh, and on a lighter note ...

At least he didn't capitalize "god" in his tweet. That fanatic side of our personality might ... might characterize it like "Bless your heart."

He's still thinking about Bama, so I'm sure most will gladly put up with this kid's antics, even if that equals high maintenance. Saban has been through so many personalities on these campaign trails, I'm sure this primadonna is just another bump in the road.

Yep, that's my bad there. I technically hadn't look at 247 in a few days, but read the Rivals article yesterday. My apologies on that. End of last week they had him at 54% to Alabama.

Alabama will once again see Henry Ruggs, four-star wide receiver from Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama, play basketball tonight. Coach Derrick Ansley expected in attendance.

There was some talk about Ruggs possibly announcing his decision today (birthday). I'm told he will wait until signing day. He is focused on his basketball team today.

Alabama remains in great shape to land the elite prospect.
