| RECRUIT Recruiting News: The Alabama class of 2017

anyone know what this is all about?

Apparently Michigan is making a huge push with Soloman. A couple 247 insiders just put in their crystal ball predictions for Michigan. I'm not buying it, mostly in part because he has publicly stated Alabama has a huge lead and from covering my Michigan days, he never was a solid commit to them and something always felt off with Soloman and UM.

As I understand this there's a story running around about someone close to AS not liking Alabama. I'm getting the impression that story is swaying some of their picks. I rarely pay attention to their CB picks but I don't have the impression they're doing well this year (as a network.)

Bartow is also reporting Harbaugh to visit AS Monday to "close the deal." I've seen posts stating Bama is scheduled to visit him Thursday.

To say the least I'm skeptical of what's been reported on the Michigan sites. Very skeptical.

Who transfers first?

I hate to say it because he was my fav HS running back recruit... But smart money has to be on Emmons. He will be a soph next year and was 4th string out of the 4 returning backs. Throw in another 5 star and Robinson, he's got to be questioning his path to playing time. Especially when all 3 backs this year had great stretches.

Najee has to learn how to block. It won't be pitch to Najee right, pitch to Najee left.

Im not sure how good or bad his blocking or receiving is because I just havent seen much but that was Henry's issue coming too. He never had to block or go out for passes in high school. Still he was a contributor as a freshman.

If he's not redshirted, expect to see him on special teams. Until he learns to block, you won't see him in the backfield much. Not hating, just reality.

Yeah, his Crystal Ball was never in our favor. They had him at USC for a while and then even Michigan over us since then.
I don't know if this is the case or not but I've seen an explanation saying people can't make a CB pick on a kid if he's already committed to the same school. If that is the case, I'd say their system needs a little tweaking.

Ahhh, interesting. That actually makes sense, because they had Leatherwood 100% to USC for his entire recruitment, but there was only one prediction entered. It would line up with what you're saying.

D. Harris had the lead position most of the year. (except when banged up) Jr next season... May Grad and take his Sr year at another school??? probably not
Bo - we all know bout Bo. Will most likely declare for Draft Next Year
Emmons - had flashes until he hurt himself, then was out all together (wonder about possible Med RedShirt?) but depending on HOW Bad the foot was injured, he may redshirt '17 and worry about where he plays in '18
Jacobs - Hard to say this guy leaves... seems too gutsy. Unless he just gets nothing in '17 I would think he hangs until he believes he can't learn any more or get any better.
Of these - Emmons would be my guess.
Will be nice to see how these RBs look in the spring, but I would think Spring would be to work on Passing Game...
The RB's should know from watching past RB Battles, Learn to Block and Pick up the CB/LB up the middle or gaming the OL is the quickest way to the field. (as HTWDH)
