I don't want to pry too much during a difficult time - but why on earth would a Baptist group protest his funeral?

[EDIT] Oh, THAT Baptist group. Still...I know they protest gays and soldiers funerals - but why would they picket a college athlete's funeral? What a bunch of insensitive nut-jobs.

I think I can shed a little light on this. They have virtually quit showing up at military funerals because an organization called The Patriot Guard (vets who are bikers) started showing up at military funerals, with the purpose of shielding the mourners from Fred Phelps and his scum bag followers. No violence that I am aware of, but it kind of defeated the Westboro group's purpose. They are hunting some other group to harass to continue their vile tactics.
