šŸ“” Official Heisman finalists: Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith, Trevor Lawrence, & Kyle Trask

Lawerence is there because of Media love affair with him. Najee should've been ahead of Lawrence. It is what it is. I expect Smith and Jones to compete for Heisman directly. Trask and Lawerence won't have enough vote to even garner a second place.
Do not underestimate Lawrence's game against ND and the impact of Dabo and ESPN's last minute campaign. Concerning that he is even in the top 4.

Let's look back to previous history of Odd that lead to winner:

2019- As of Nov 19, Joe Burow was -1000 favorite to win the trophy after beating Alabama.
He had 90.91 percent to win. Everyone else including Tua had less than 11 percent to win at that time.

2018- Tua was a -500 favorite heading into the SEC championship against Georgia. He had the worst game that night,
going 10/25 for 164 yards with 1 TD and 2 interceptions.

Less than 24 hours before the heisman ceremony, Murrary was listed as a -190 favorite to win the trophy over Tua (+150)
and Dwayne Haskin (+6000)

Murray went on to win the heisman trophy.

2017-
Baker Mayfield was having one hell of a year and lead the way to heisman since November.
He was -1800 favorite to win the heisman and he won.

2016- Lamar Jackson -1350 to favorite to win the heisman.

What's my point:
This may be very close Heisman Race, and the odd tend to favor both of them. We'll know more the night before the heisman... Usually the odd we see the night before are what would be
the projected winner....

DeVonta Smith (Alabama) -200
Mac Jones (Alabama) +150

Based on the history of the heisman odd, those guys are not likely to win, no matter how hard Media/ Wannabe Florida and Clemson fans is pushing this.
Trevor Lawrence (Clemson)+550
Kyle Trask (Florida) +3300

It is not happening! So chill out.

It will be interesting to see how the West, Midwest, and East regions break down since their isn’t a candidate outside of Goldie Locks in either of those regions and the remaining 3 coming from the Deep South. I really see it as a 2 man race, Mac and DeVonta.

I have no problem with Trask winning it. I feel that either of Mac, DeVonta, or Trask are deserving because they each have had outstanding seasons. I have ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS with Lawrence being touted for his season, but the media slinging around his career numbers around over this seasons numbers, while completely forgetting that he has missed 2 games.

I have no problem with Trask winning it.
Purely on results or more valuable player?

One can argue if you remove Trask what would Florida's offense look like this season? To take that a step farther, consider the following:

Clemson with DJJ,
Bama with Bryce,
or Florida with Emory Jones?

Which team takes the biggest step backwards? Florida. No doubt in my mind.

Actually.....

Smith is deserving....but....if thos 3 QBs were not so damn good...
....they just stand out.....most bama folkes agree its Jones...
Most Clemson folkes agree its TL...
I think TL is best... but I think Mac is most deserving...
.....The ESPN group on tv yesterday.....on playoff show seemed to think its Mac...
I sure hope so....
That is an assumption. I've read through a lot of Clemson posts, on their boards, concerning the Heisman and you won't find that belief. Can you find something to back up your statement? I can't.
