The parking lots are not gated are they? I dont think I would even get a decal if it was $300. Hell, they wouldnt even know what kind of car you drove if you never got the decal.
Decals we're much cheaper when I was there; same with the tickets the wrote. I had a great way of getting out of tickets back then, but I think they've fixed that loophole now. I always parked in faculty and had the tickets tossed out... maybe 20 total during my tenure.
It was $300 for a whole year from Fall 2014- the start of fall in 2015. I had commuter C, which was right behind fraternity row and in front of the recreational field.

Some are, but they have parking Nazis policing the parking areas every hour.
I was running late for a biology lab in the SEC building once and decided to try my luck at the commuter parking area by Bryce Lawn apts (about 75 yards from the SEC building). I was in and out of the lab in 1:15, still got a ticket.
Happened later in the semester again, same scenario. Got another ticket.
