Both. Added a lot of trim work and wainscoting also

Iv got some ugly carpeted stairs that I want to do something with. Did you have to replace the whole tread?

No, painted them a very dark gray. Not sure how well it's going to hold up. Stupidly, I didn't use floor paint.

The apartments look run down, but it's pretty safe. My brothers stayed there back in '03 and '07. It could use some renovations, but you can't beat the location.

So far I've seen nothing but Asians here.
