Latu was not the first TE that did not get utilized the way we thought they should be during the CNS days.

He was our H back/fullback in short yardage packages when BOB mistakenly called for short yardage under center runs! Sarcasm there!!

Latu played hard, but this team has needed more of a threat at TE for a while now. And we lose Randolph's blocking ability too. It's a roster hole that needs to be shored up via the portal (which they are doing).
His position is TE. When we go short yardage, he was often the 3rd TE or H back with Randolph at one TE and Latu the other. He may have been lined up at the traditional FB spot or at a wing position to either side.
