šŸˆ Notre Dame BCS Championship Shirts

Hahaha...that is funny! Still, I can't help but feel sorry for that kid's grandparents. They waited all winter in vain after the '73 Sugar Bowl for their "Crimson Tide National Champions" t shirts. Those poor wretches never imagined that they were still being sold for full retail back in Alabama!

I feel for the grandparents as well.

They certainly were happy to get the '66 Notre Dame National Championship Sweatshirt but were definitely disappointed it had so many holes in it.

What was it the grandmother told me? Something like "we had to tie..."

I seem to have touched a nerve.

You could hope. I got a laugh out of your response...however.

Give a little, you'll get a little.
FWIW, people here will attest.

I've wanted to see this matchup in this game for weeks now. I'll gladly admit I not only want Alabama to win this game, I want them to do so handily.

Terry, you're a passionate Bama fan..and a gracious host. I'm glad my response gave you a chuckle, that was the intent. While I'm enjoying the banter, I admit I too can't wait for this game.

There's a level of history and tradition at each of these programs that's unequalled in the world of sports. This upcoming contest resonates in a way that Kansas St. vs. Oregon, for instance, never could.

Your wish for a comfortable Tide victory is supported by most of the pundits, and all of the oddsmakers. Yet, this Irish team has had a way of defying expectations and rising to the occasion. I hope that trend continues. And, believe me, if they win by a lot or a little, I'll still be giddy!

Merry Christmas!

Go Irish!

I wouldn't be too upset if we win by one point. In fact, I'm sure I can live with that comfortably.

I was too young to really understand what that '73 game meant to the adults around me. However, I distinctly remember their reactions.

I wasn't alive when '66 occurred.

But, growing up in Alabama, as a fan of the Tide, one learns.

Living through this era now, as an adult, is truly a gift. This makes twice in a lifetime I've seen this type of success from the football program at Alabama.

A win over Notre Dame for the National Title? The adage "icing on the cake" simply doesn't do it justice.

'Preciate you stopping by and hope you continue to drop by after the game. I can assure you, we stay well aware of what is going on with the teams you guys face each season and would love to discuss those games in 2013.
