šŸˆ This week's BCS standings look crazily familiar

I don’t see why we don’t use the BCS for the playoffs. Just take the top 11 and the highest ranked G5 team. Some of this beauty contest bullshit, get multiple schools to rep your conference when they aren’t deserving shows.

I'm currently watching the world series, it's in the 14th inning.... and I refuse to go to bed until it is fine.
I’m still up watching as well. Back in the day, I turned down a couple of JUCO baseball offers to chase a football career as a walk on at Bama. 4 months after graduating and getting my first job as a teacher/coach, I became HC baseball coach at Fultondale HS and held that position for 5 seasons. I do love my baseball!!

Damn, you had a lot of great options. Did you enjoy coaching baseball? I've always thought about it, but I don't know nearly enough about it like I do with football. I could learn, but still.

And I love baseball to. Was never as good at it as I was with football. Would hit an occasional home run every now and again, but couldn't seem to be very consistent at hitting. It's really difficult, lol. Did alright playing 3rd, and pitched whenever we were down our usual pitchers. My dad and grandfather were MUCH better players than I ever hoped of being. Same with my two uncles on that side as well, I didn't pick up the baseball genetics.

But damn, you had juco offers? You must've been pretty damn good.

Decent! I had a good eye at the plate and a strong arm as well. I came from a family of pretty good athletes. One uncle turned down a full ride to Bama to play basketball, while another got drafted 3 different times, twice by MLB and once by the ABA/NBA. Dodgers drafted him out of HS but my grandmother told him no, then again by the Reds in college. The Hawks drafted in basketball. He signed with the Reds and made it to Triple A with George Foster and Ken Griffey Sr.
