Disclaimer: I don't know "Jack" about G5's and their rosters. Other than a lot have been hit pretty hard. There may be a team that beats Notre Dame in this little stat.
To my knowledge there isn't a P4 team (UConn, while independent, doesn't belong in this conversation) who returns more production than the Irish. We're eight to ten weeks from Phil Steele releasing his magazine with the entire list. Although, we may see something early from him. We'll know for sure then. I'm confident in saying ND returns close to 75%.
I'm happy that the committee is paying more attention to SOR (strength of record.) But, there's no denying we're going to hear SOS (strength of schedule) as much as we always have. Taking a look at the latter...
The way the schedule for the Irish begins is weak. Weak. Overall, they are going to have one of the easiest for '26. From toughest to weakest?
They host Miami.
They host SMU.
And then we're looking at Notre Dame visiting Chapel Hill? It ends there.
Most returning production + a schedule as weak as Bud Light = Garland and trees aren't the only greenwe're you're going to see in December.
