šŸˆ Not optimistic about football (Sankey expectx final decision by late July)

A $4B business with so much interest will make it hard to cancel it. With that said the NCAA tournament and major professional sports were cancelled so I guess anything is possible. Personally I think they will give it a go and see how it goes. Would be a nice distraction from the current events that are consuming people. Would be good for our mental health.

Absolutely agree. The NCAA tourney cancellation was shocking considering where the world was just a couple weeks before hand.

I'm into the idea someone mentioned previously... Football in the Spring. Our state high school association has floated that idea, but again, no one really has any true direction on where this goes.

I'd just rather see real football with prepared teams, healthy rosters, and legit crowds. Logistics will be a bitch to change, but we are in unchartered territory!

I suspect. OSU has their players and staff members signing a pledge about behavior and consequences.

I was really looking forward to seeing the Tide this season. Even more so next season.
Any season....fall is so awesome for so many reasons....( especially here in TENNESSEE because of the weather and leaves...Terry....lol).......and in ALABAMA becuse of football

I was talking about Bama Baseball. šŸ™ƒ

You can have you winter and leaves ... and when winter comes, I'll still be golfing and fishing.

There will be football this Fall (in my opinion). I think the biggest issue is how they manage the crowds. Will stadiums be at 50% capacity? 60% capacity? 30% capacity? If so, how does each school assign the ticket orders? No group will get 100% of the games. How do they space out the attendees?

@50+yeartidefan

Hiking? You got me there, but only because you're not looking out for 'gators. The swamps around here offer some very beautiful views.

Biking? I WILL NOT ride a motorcycle in Charleston. There are too many idiots on the road here; seen daily, hourly. That said, I do bike about 30-35 miles a week.

Truetrue....no gators.....but nice size rattlers and copperheads... black bear on occasion... did Forestry studies at Hobcaw Barony ( i know...Clemson) and had Leaf River and Strong River swamps when i was with Forest Service in Mississippi...swamps have their own beauty...for sure.... ( except cottonmouths) ...
Loved working in them...

Motorcycles...well.....I hate traffic when riding.... but dangers ..with the idiots driving and mobile phones...are inherent..... but.......... well.....

I saw a picture of a black bear crossing Long Point Road in Mt Pleasant last week. Rattlers, Copperheads, and Water Mocs...see them ALL the time and that's not when hiking.

One morning a few weeks ago I was biking around the neighborhood and saw a Copperhead that was roughly 3'- 3.5' in length...good size body, right? I turned my bike around and went back to look...watched it for a second or two and a Chevy 2500 Max came down the street...he saw what I was looking at, gunned the motor and ran over the snake with his front tire. Threw that bastard up in the sky about 15' or so.

Thats a dandy size creature.... thats a big copperhead....
the bad ones are the 12-18 inch ones...that you dont see til late...very late....
45 years as a forester.... i have seen a few...
Most ( not all) snakebites involve one of two things....
.....alcohol
.....trying to kill the creature

I don't know what tomorrow will bring so who knows about September? Maybe a crazy thought but many of the young bucks shake this thing with little to no issues and I know there are few exceptions but most at this age remain asymptomatic. I think I would rather most of my players develop herd immunity now and not this Fall. I'm no doctor but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
