šŸˆ Not optimistic about football (Sankey expectx final decision by late July)

I don't know what tomorrow will bring so who knows about September? Maybe a crazy thought but many of the young bucks shake this thing with little to no issues and I know there are few exceptions but most at this age remain asymptomatic. I think I would rather most of my players develop herd immunity now and not this Fall. I'm no doctor but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

They're asymptomatic but that doesn't mean they can't give it to someone else (a coach, training staff, S&C, administration) that might have a tough time with it. If they're going to be exposed and get the disease, do it early and get it over with.

Sankey was on Rich Eisen's show yesterday and said he expected the SEC to make their final decision in late July.

ā€œI think that’s probably a late-July time period. My thinking has shifted a bit,ā€ Sankey said. ā€œWe started June 8 after a two-week oversight, diagnostic medical exam period for these voluntary activities. We’ll have three or four weeks — on the 13th of July is when a little bit more practice can begin. I think we deserve the chance to see how that progresses. I would say before we get into full-blown practice, you’re going to be in that decision-making process as it relates to what happens on Labor Day weekend, which is the scheduled start of the season.ā€
