About South Carolina

  • Head coach Lamont Paris was a part of the Wisconsin coaching staff that made seven straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Included in that stretch was a National Championship Game appearance (2015), Final Four (2014) and four Sweet 16s (2011-12, 2016-17).

  • This new-look Gamecock squad features eight new players (four transfers and four freshman) headlined by Jackson, the highest rated recruit in program history (recruit rankings started in early 2000s). He joined former Carolina standout PJ Dozier (2015-17) as the only five-star signees in program history.

Pringle needs work on defense. I hope he's afforded 15 minutes. If Bama scores 80, I'd like to see 40% of that come from the bench.

In an ideal world, Sears is +40. :ROFLMAO:
Well, Miller did get 21 Saturday while Pringle got his most minutes of the season. Pringle likely takes away from Bediako’s minutes though.

And I hope he does again tonight to give Bediako's knee more time to "rest." LIke a guy on the scout team in football, he's been fun to watch this season. They need Chuck's defense; Pringle isn't there yet.

I just want to see a great effort on the defensive end of the floor. Its almost tournament time and I would love to see us dominate the glass, force turnovers and grab a boat load of steals. Love watching good defense, its a thing of beauty when all 5 parts are working like a fine run machine.

Agreed! Saw where Oats has stated that he has to scream at Pringle on half court offense sets and he gets caught watching instead of reading and reacting to pick/screen and roll. Chuck is definitely the rim protector we need and that knee needs the rest to help us come March! Pringle is a highlight reel!!!
