Najee is different for sure and has an odd personality but one heck of a player.

Great series on him. And I think we were blessed to have him beyond the football field.

Learned that a lot of the talk about him early on was true about being home sick and considering leaving. Also had clashes with Saban which I found interesting. Seemed like his mom and the guys that worked with him in California supported him and helped him think through things so he could get past some the early issues. I was surprised Saban allowed some of the back and forth between them if it happened the way Najee described it. Sounded like his momma told him he can't be doing that. Najee had some maturity issues was my take away from that part.

Seemed like he never fully fit into the culture at Bama and the South. Again he is a different type so may have been an issue no matter where he went other than staying in California. If he did not have the mentors he had things could have turned out much different than they did for Harris.

The rumors about Harbaugh and Michigan coming in and having a last minute chance were confirmed. Also, he flew to California after the 2018 NC game w/o telling any of the coaches. His mentors in California made it clear to him he was an adult and could not do that. Just odd antics honestly but the boy could tote the rock.

No doubt, for a man as big as he is he was very illusive. My 2nd favorite #22 to wear the crimson jersey .
