This could be an interesting game. Oakland not only went to the dance last year, they also beat UT in Knoxville about this time a year ago, before the Bruce Pearl scandals caused their team to disintegrate.

Some ragged edges, but that is to be expected in November. Still, that was a very nice win. Our freshmen are as good as advertised. They are all sound defensively, and seem to have basketball smarts as well. Randolph and Cooper are as athletic as I expected. I look forward to some real "Sports Center" moments for them as the season progresses.

We are back in action this afternoon in the Puerto Rican tip off tournament at 4:00 CST. ESPN U or ESPN 2 will have coverage. Maryland is the opponent.
