🏈 🔎 Looking ahead to LSU - Saturday night in BDS

One of the top 5 jobs in the country

I'm sorry, football is NOT war! There have been too many people who lost their life or came home mangled for a freaking sport to be compared to Peral Harbor or any war. To me, statements like that are unacceptable. Is football tough? Yes it is but it is not war.

I strongly disagree that LSU is one of the top 5 jobs in the country. It is a good job but top 5? There are others that would be a head of LSU IMO.

Rant over.

i mean, I kinda think most of the Big Time schools would not be a top 5 job to be honest. I think someone like Lane is at a top 5 spot at Ole MIss because they have a decent NiL budget and the pressure is gong to be much lower on the coach than at other schools.

I think LSU/UF/Auburn and even Bama would be a nightmare job in most cases because it's a win at all cost type situation and now with NiL the booster pretty much run the show... so coaching hotseats galore. IMHO.

They were mostly irrelevent pre Saban.... I say the same thing about Florida before Meyer. UGA had a little it of success pre Smart so they might be in the next tier just above LSU and Florida with regards to historical relevence. Same with pretty much all SEC programs not named Bama. People will look at a shorter time frame to argue otherwise but broaden it decade after decade.
