🏈 Let the chaos begin!

I would like us to bring Georgia down but if they lose and we beat them they would have 2 losses and that would open up a spot in the CFP for the SEC champ to fill. Georgia losing before the SEC championship game will refocus them and make it more of a challenge in the SECC game. Best to get others ahead of us to lose.

Jayden Daniels career best rushing performance will only stand one week, it looks like. Already has 134 yards rushing against Florida. With 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Should pass the 163 he had against us last week sooner than later.

Ole Miss defense is pitiful.

Only hope for an upset ahead of us tonight will now rest with Caleb Williams and the defenseless Trojans! These Trojans couldn’t stop an 80 year old’s swimmers if you stacked them 3 deep

Think we have another crying moment out of Williams? I think he'll play fine and score some points, but the Ducks are hot and gonna be tough to stop in Eugene.

I still feel like if we win out we’re in. They aren’t going to leave out a 1-loss SEC champ - whose 1 loss came from a top 10 squad.

Buckeyes/Wolverines - that will handle itself. One WONT be a conference champ.

Washington/Oregon - Same thing.

FSU and Texas are the two teams that would solidify us being in - if they lost. But I don’t think it’s necessarily a must.

We just need to continue to improve, and buckle up against UGA in the SECCG.

UCF killing Okie State was shocking, even with the four TO's. What a letdown game, and it adds to the confusion of the Big 12 CG situation.

I think we still need help to get in:

1. If TX wins out, there will be complaining if we jump them, but we would have a win over GA as evidence. They would have a head-to-head advantage and a single loss. The Big 12 CG is looking poor from a SOS standpoint, but if OK were to back into it, TX would avenge their sole loss.
2. FL State is a pretender, but they have the easiest path to be undefeated. I don't see UNA, FL or a Louisville/UNC CG getting them.
3. Michigan/OSU winner is in, absent something completely unexpected. The other will complain bitterly about being left out.
4. Washington wins out they are in, period. Best case for us is for Oregon to make the championship game, beat Washington, leaving them both with losses. Bama would likely be rated ahead of Oregon in the final machinations following a win over GA.
5. Where do you put GA with just one loss? Bama would own the head-to-head and CC, but the same would apply - to our detriment - with TX.

RTR,

Tim

Worst case scenario IF 'Bama wins out:

1st. Undefeated Big10 Champ
2nd. Undefeated Pac12 Champ
3rd. Undefeated ACC Champ
4th. Texas is Big12 Champ Vs Alabama as SEC Champ... I don't see the committee putting 'Bama ahead of Texas IF it comes down to this.

I think we need 'Bama to win out (given) Vs Texas losing a game &/or one of those conferences to have a one loss Champ. That's it.

IMO Bama will get left out of the playoffs no matter what happens. All of these assumptions are based on how I’ve interpreted the committee using different metrics each week. The committee is very favorable to Ohio St. and Michigan. They play each other and one will have a loss. However, they’ll not keep either team out with 1 loss with the winner playing for the Big 10 championship probably against Iowa. Looks like Florida St. will play Louisville and the committee would probably dump State with a loss but that’s not a guarantee unless Louisville wins big. Texas probably wins out and play Oklahoma St. in the Big 12 championship game. Oregon and Washington play in the PAC 12 championship game. If Washington wins that gives Oregon 2 losses and they’re out. However, if Oregon wins who knows what metric the committee will use. Georgia will probably win out. If Bama wins out and beats Georgia in SEC championship game in a close one I think Georgia is still in. Again I will say, this committee has already shown they use different metrics each week to determine their top 4 and especially 5 - 8. Currently they are trying to keep the top 7 teams in play to end up picking the top 4 out of this group to put into the playoffs. Also putting a beat down on Auburn, which probably will not happen playing at Jordan Hare, will not matter. I’v alway heard if you’re going to lose it’s best to lose early in the season. Not so sure that’s true if that team hangs around in the top 10 for most of the season. That second game loss to Texas is going to keep Bama out of the playoffs.
