I am starting to see that Texas A&M is a lot like the Barn. They both lived underr the shadow of big brother and that has really messed them up at their core. They just can't get over the level of who they have always been in any sustainable way.

There are only a few schools who can fire a coach with a kajillion dollar buyout without batting an eye but A&M is one of them. So, the heat on Slimebo’s seat just got toasty. To think they were only a couple of yards away from beating Bama … at home no less … boggles the mind.
His ego won't allow him to Rick! Recall when he called Saban a narcissist? All he was really doing was speaking about himself. To be honest, A LOT of coaches at that level and in the pros are just that!

And to be fair, so too are a lot of the players. The elite coaches and elite players have been told they’re great so much they internalize all of that adulation. That’s why they respond so poorly to criticism and why their heads explode if anyone dares to question a decision they’ve made. Coach Saban definitely has a bit of that himself. He’s just fortunate he has a loving wife who tamps it down whenever it rears its ugly head.
