Heard a rumor that Saban is in the owners box at the Cowboys playoff game... few months back i heard that Jerry Jones offered Saban a lot more money (cant remember the actual number) than hes being paid by Alabama. Can anyone tell me if there is any truth to this one?

I've heard this one a lot guys, but as far as I can tell...it's all a joke.

Doesn't look like it'll matter anyway, the Cowboys are winning handily. Oh and the simple fact that Nick Saban HATES the NFL now, money or not. Have to also mention he loves to have control(mild understatement), with Jerry Jones there...that's just laughable.

Don't let the Auburn people around you try to spook you into believing Saban is leaving. Their envy knows no boundaries right now. I had a few of them telling me that Julio was bought and paid for a couple of years ago. Those bastards just don't know when to give it a rest.

Excuse moi francais...

Nick Saban-Jerry Jones NOT!!!
But you have to remember this guy just took a program in shambles
and made National Champions out of them in three years ,and not his first rodeo either.

He will get offers from any and everybody needing someone in his profession.
hes on top of the college football world right now.
Its goes with the territory sort of speak,We as fans should expect this type stuff
esp. this time of year.
Now is Saban listening to these people probably not ,but hes a smart man and going through the motions he knows he needs to do.

I truly sense in his speech after games and interviews that he kinda likes where hes at right now,and is content to stay for awhile.

Two total control types together would never work. CNS has everything at Bama that he could ever want. He has total control over the best college program ever. 101K plus capacity stadium w/ state of the art facilities. He also has a grip on the BEST fan base in all of sports. There is a unity in the program that is unparalleled in all of sports. He has a legacy to complete. He is not going anywhere.

I don't know who started all this, but it's not necessary. In Wednesday or Thursday's USA Today there was an article about Colt McCoy and Greg McElroy and their dads. It mentioned Greg's dad working for Cowboys. It also stated that Jerry Jones would be in attendance at our game and would NOT be cheering for the home state Longhorns. He stated he'd be cheering for McElroy and the Tide.

I'm sure this is just professional courtesy and a chance to spend some time with McElroy's dad as well. I'm sure Jones and McElroy invited him. Heck, Greg was probably there as well.

simple reasons why Saban WON'T LEAVE.

1. He's not young anymore....i'm sure both he and his wife are tired of moving around.

2. If he leaves, he will be remembered as the great coach who couldn't stay in one spot....that would forever tarnish his career.

3. No matter where he would go to...it's nothing compared to Alabama. He's just won the national title at the school with the greatest tradition and history in college football. So by leaving, even for an NFL team, it would be a lateral move at best...definitely NOT an upward move. And we know how Saban feels about that.

I think your right.

I think there's a half dozen college coaches in the business who have won two national championships.

Saban will be the first one with a third ring if he sticks around a few more years.

He will retire from Bama after an incredible run.
