Here's a bad stat...... In weeks where Les Miles and LSU has had a bye week before playing Alabama, they're 1-3, the bad news is, when Alabama and Nick Saban have had a bye week before playing LSU they're 1-3 also....

Stats don't always tell the whole story...

How about this one from Clay Travis :)

6. Alabama is the only team in the country that will play four top 15 teams in the BCS standings.

So can we stop with the Alabama hasn't played anyone griping?

This week the Tide plays #13 LSU, the last week of the season Bama plays at #9 Auburn, and in the SEC title game Bama will likely play either #8 Missouri or #12 South Carolina. Already Bama beat #15 Texas A&M on the road in College Station.

Of the other undefeated teams against top 15 competition:

Florida State will play two -- Clemson and Miami.

Oregon will play one -- Stanford.

Baylor will play two -- Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Ohio State still hasn't played a top 15 team under Urban Meyer in two years. I don't believe that will change this year, but Michigan State would finally be in the top 15 if they ran the table.

How about this one via Travis Reier. Nick Saban has lost 13 games at Alabama, 8 of those have been in November.

To go a little deeper, take away the 2007 season, 6 of the 7 losses came in November. South Carolina is responsible for the only non-November loss.

There's a record versus FBS opponents floating around on twitter somewhere...5-4 maybe but can't recall.

I saw the Gameday stat come out today from ESPN as well. I expected that one yesterday which is why I posted the all time list the other day.

I like these stats . Look at the strength of schedule numbers that add up points for the BCS The Bucks and Noles are not in good shape. The Cardinals will give the Ducks a game.

BCS No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) SOS: 41

BCS No. 2 Oregon Ducks (6-0) SOS: 16

BCS No. 3 Florida State Seminoles (7-0) SOS: 68

BCS No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes (8-0) SOS: 69

BCS No. 5 Stanford Cardinal (7-1) SOS: 9
