🏈 Injury updates on Jennings and Cotton--both out for the title game

What's the chances of L. Ray being ready for this game? I know he took a few snaps at OLB when the injuries hit... He's heavier than all these other dudes and has proven he can get in the backfield. Seems like a long shot but seeing UGA's run game so potent it may be necessary. Allen probably ahead of him anyway?
Allen isn't ahead of Ray. Allen isn't even on the travel squad this season.

Ray has been injured a lot this season as well. He was far from 100% in the Sugar Bowl and won't be when the Tide faces the Bulldogs.

Are there valid reasons why the preliminary playoff games couldn't be done around Christmas, and then have a two week preparation between then and the NCG?

People won't travel for bowl games near Christmas. Too much conflict with the holiday. Plus, you have the tradition of the New Year bowls (put on by locals, not the CFP).

To our credit, I thought Lewis played some good football. And he almost did what he was able to accomplish a couple of times in spring ball, pick off a point-blank pass and go to the house. I'm now really thankful that both Lewis and Miller are back and their reps this week will obviously increase. Georgia's offense is coming downhill out of the pistol/shotgun in this one and we will be fine.

I full agree...OPlayer...
So many ways to fix something...and to many of the fixers have their head up their ass...plus..as NS said...Doing whats best for TV...the hell with the players..
...why play on Monday...why not Thursday.... ( or just any other evening) what was so special about Monday?
Why the next Monday....whats wrong with 2 weeks from the semis on a Monday..if Monday is so special...
I thought Saturday was the CFs big day during the year....o thats right the NFL..playoffs...we can watch these guys disrespect America some more...
Cant fix stupid....

We dont have another Jennings is the problem. It doesn't look like it because he moves so well, but Jennings plays between 260-270 pounds. We flat out do not have another OLB that can both set the edge, and get after the QB like Jennings can.

This is all starting to feel like the curse of Jarez Parks who is rumored to be up over 250 pounds now.

Well... we've got Mosley, Cowan, Mekhi, Allen, and possibly Davis. lol

Also I want to say something... Why oh why did Kedrick James stay at TE when the clear cut need for his body type was on the DL this season ? It sure would be a shot in the arm to have Kedrick ready to take a few snaps at OLB, no ? Kedrick is 6'5 270 pounds, and that body type would be perfect on the edge vs UGA. jus sayen

I hate this having to play teams with one arm tied behind our back shit.

Cowan came in at 250 if I'm not mistaken. So there is some young beef to eat up a blocker and get pressure. He's 6'4 too.

Mosley probably going to play some snaps. I do not like. Let's hope Miller and Lewis are in great shape!
Do you think there's anything Jim Chaney has done on offense that Mosley hasn't seen on tape?

I like Mosely in coverage against their TE's coming out. Hell, we know he'll have the right pursuit angles if they hit flats with their running backs. I can see him as a reliable guy for an offense like this.

I've got to be honest Terry... I've never seen him actually complete 1 impressive play. Seems pretty fast and apparently knows the D, but actually making a play is kind of important. Maybe he's a better fit covering TE's than the others but stuffing the run and a pass rush seem like higher priorities.
