I had a buddy who worked for TCSO years ago and he had a Caprice Classic with a Corvette engine that could get up to about 160.

Buried the needle in a ‘91 Mustang LX Foxbody on a half mile straight on Skyline Drive in Blount County with my dad in the passenger seat. Not to be outdone, my Dad returned the feeling once we turned around and swapped places!! Believe the top speed was 145!

The Caprice/Ford LTD are probably my favorite cop cars of all time. Love the old LAPD squad cars.

Smart/lucky enough to escape the police in a high speed pursuit. Get busted a few days later for shop lifting...
