🏈 Imma Start It: Fire the OC and DC

I understand your position but scrolling through a topic I often don't look at who posted until after I've read the comment. After reading enough from a person and thinking that's 15 seconds I'll never get back almost every time I read something they posted i finally ignored 1 poster. I haven't regretted it because it was never something I thought added to the conversations or made me think anything other than why do I keep reading this crap. For me I'm glad you added the function. I use it very sparingly but it's nice imo.
I'm a "who," and then "what" guy; depending on the subject. We all read through forums differently...'bout like defense, where do your eyes take you.

I noticed that 72% of the points allowed by our defense have come in the 2nd half. And 2nd half 3rd and 4th down conversion defense has heavily contributed to that. We are really struggling at making adjustments, or at making the correct adjustments.

I’m going to put this here for later…
Imagine the meltdown if Bama goes on a run here and gets into the CFP at the end of the year, how many of these. "CKD is not the guy and Kane Wommack and Sheridan are terrible" people are going to be losing their minds and mad that they can't say shit. We could hoist the trophy at the end and they'd be yelling about "But we lost to Vandy! We Don't deserve to win it all!"
My reply:
Not true…I am one of the fans who is disgusted with the lack of discipline on both sides of the ball. From how it has looked to me…I don’t believe the coordinators can fix it. I believe in CKD, but even Nick Saban hired bad coordinators from time to time .

If this team fixes their shit and goes on a run I will be more than happy to come on here and say that I’m wrong. It would be amazing if that happened and they could build on success instead of failure.

I am not a “hater” or a “whiner” but I can’t stand undisciplined football(all the freaking and repeated penalties). I can’t stand gimmicks like standing over the ball or faking an injury so the offense can run a play. Line your ass up and beat them. This is the problem that I see. Call me short-sighted if you want to, they need to get this under control or they need to be replaced.

I really do hope I’m wrong…

This thread aged well.
I never called for firing thought is was crazy to do so.. With that said, I think we have to temper good or bad from any game. This is a positive step but I would like to see them stack multiple games of improvement together. I do think the D has been improving. To me it has been more about the penalties and tackling and 2nd half in games they have struggled. Both got better this week. The play calling on offense still puzzles me at times. Need to find a way to get Milroe more easy throws early and committ to the run game with the RBs in my mind. This is an area that Milroe needs to be better for him to be more effective.

all Milroe has to do is plant his foot and throw. The reads are there. The players are open. Everything is there for him to execute. He just need to play with confidence and that's it.

I think the play calling can be better at times for sure, but overall, the plays have been there in the pass game. And for the run game, there's a fine line they've had to walk in terms of how much to we stick with this when it isn't effective? They've been behind the chains on so many 3rd downs that it has really limited their options in calls and hurt them in extending drives. On Milroe, I thought they tried to get him in a rhythm pretty well on Saturday with some easy throws.... I think his first 6 completions were all 6 yards or less. Then, 8 of his reaming 9 were all good for 12+ yards... Milroe using his legs a bit more (again) was helpful too... that has to stay on the table going forward.

If you speed Milroe up he struggles as do most QB's.

Yeah the penatlies put them behind the chains and forces more throws. That is why they have to clean that up.

On the throws where they have some intermediate to long routes, I would like to see a check down if it is needed. Also when the D blitzes it would be nice to see a hot route by at least one of the receivers instead of expecting the O-Line to hold up for so long.

I think the DC's have been stacking the box and saying we are going to slow the run down and limit Milroes legs and see if he can beat us in the air.

Also, on the Milore TD run go back and watch it. He looks to me like he is limping. He just does not seem to have the burst he had earlier in the year.

Correct. From my Good, Bad, Ugly post from yesterday...

Notes: You can see Milroe doesn’t have his usual quickness and explosiveness when running. FWIW, eyes tell no lies when it comes to the narrative that is out there. Eyes will also tell you he was favoring a leg today, if you need another clue.
