I've already seen clips of gameplay for this game, and it's still such a buggy mess. I'm debating on whether or not to get it, and right now I'm leaning on not getting it. It's still got the same problems from last game. It's almost entirely animation driven still, you can be in perfect coverage and not be able to pick or deflect the ball away. Hell, sometimes it even fucking phases right through the guys hands. Being able to use the sticks and entirely juke my team out is absurd. And you can forget about playing in the open field, it's damn near impossible to get a user tackle. I can dwell on every single thing and go in depth on how each certain thing isnt realistic football, but it wouldn't matter.

EA has proven that they refuse to to get rid of that shitty Frostbite engine and make the gameplay more fluid and as realistic to real life football as possible. They're just not going to do it. I sincerely hope a competitor comes out with their own game soon(2k please!!!!) and force EA to change for the better.

And really is just the gameplay. EA did a great job with everything else in this game and last year's game. But that gameplay is going to be a glaring problem until they fix it.

Its much improved than it was last year. Ton of changes with AI gameplay and there's lot of new features in the game.

Everyone is always gonna find something to complain about. Imo this game is worth buying because of good things going on.

So the majority of people who has the game said lot of positive things about the gameplay and it has improved significantly compared to last year and they're on right track. The wear and tear feature, the simulation of game is better, the AI performance of the game is improved . The recruiting process is much better.

Just everything overall is better. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. It's always something to complain about.

I get it won't ever be the real thing, but what they have put out these last two years is unacceptable in my opinion. And yes, I'm going to complain about it until they drop frostbite and fix their gameplay. They've gotten away with doing this same shit for over a decade with Madden, now they're trying to do it with college football. If people don't speak up and complain about it if they don't like it, then it'll never change.

I saw a clip of it but haven't watched any of it beyond that. I'd imagine it's pretty good simply because Chris is involved with it. But honestly, there's an oversaturation of Bama content on YT these days.... EVERYBODY has a podcast. It's not niche anymore and I'd imagine overall, the content is an overlapping echo chamber.

EDIT- I will add though, Chris is a tremendous storyteller, so from that aspect, I'm sure it's going to have some entertaining moments and episodes. AJ is pretty good in that element too.

There's basically several different gameplay scenarios, but you can just pick 2 teams and have the games simulated if you want, or do a whole season that way. So you aren't playing them, the system is playing them and determining everything. But you can play by yourself again the system, or play another human... either in the same room or half a world away over the net.
