What with all the media pitching this game as a David vs Goliath and I think it was Vern that said he's never seen a team as one dimensional as Florida. I seem to recall that the last few times a team didn't have a chance against us, the exception being Notre Dame, we didn't fare so well. The last time I sincerely thought it would be a beat down it was rough going against a pitiful barn team. On paper, we should beat them pretty bad but we ain't playing on paper, now are we. Please help put my mind at ease.

Mehhhh....I am confident. I just cant see them winning unless they get turnover and dominate field position while having success running the game and killing clock.

Last 4 games...

9-7 win over Vandy.
10 pt win over USCe
OT win over FAU
complete ass whipping against FSU where they only score a safety. 27-2.

They just arent the same team without Grier at QB.

Florida has an EXCELLENT defense. Coach Mac will have some twists on offense. We need to take them seriously regardless of what the media is saying. If we take them seriously, we beat them soundly.

I can't remember where I read it, but makes a lot of sense to me. Coach Mac worked for Saban. Saban is not out to embarrass anyone, but certainly not coaches that have worked for him. Think back to the Capital One bowl game against MSU and Dantonio. When Lacy busts it up the middle for a long TD run (game well in hand) and Saban gets frustrated.

I think we win, but I don't look for us to cover the huge spread of 18 points.

Florida is there for the same reason as Bama- to win the SEC Championship. Despite being a one dimensional and losing in embarrassing fashion to Florida State, they're going to do whatever they can to win it. No reason to think they can't pull the upset.

As much as I hate to say it, that pitiful barn team has a lot more talent on it that the UF team does.

It's my opinion Florida is going to defend just like they did against LSU with a tad of the UT game plan.

4-3, corners in man, a safety playing real high and the other in run support.

We'll need to pass to spread them out a bit I suspect.
This. We had to do it against the barn. Hitch screens and tap passes /jet sweeps to widen them out.

Everyone bitched about Kiffin running that jet sweep several times in the first half with only marginal to moderate success. What happens in the 3rd quarter? We fake the jet action and Coker does an outstanding job throwing Ridley open over double coverage with a 30 yard bomb to the 4.

The guys who might have had a tendency to mail one in because of past success are gone. Some of this group was part of the team when we won it all n 2012, but the difference makers on that team are gone. If we have recruited the right kind of people, and I think we have, we won't come in with the big head. While Coach Mac knows a lot about how we do things, we know him well too, so I don't think that will be a factor. As I said in another thread, we pound away with #2, and wear their D down. They will be within range going to the last quarter, but then fatigue sets in.

It's so easy to watch the linebackers on those plays. I'd understand if they couldn't see the movement due to a TV shot, but with those plays you can.

actually, those Jet Sweeps got 4-7 yards each time... and it gives Henry one less carry he has to get beat up on... It makes the defense spread to the edge and opens up a lot of other plays. I have no issues with the speed sweeps, but I'd like to see our guy running it cut it back better than they have in the past.
