Lane hung more than 2 points against Kentucky. Give me Kiffin over Leach every day of the week.
The egg bowl should be a fun game to watch.

Did you watch that game?LSU s D shows why Leach was successful....more than Leach O
No. I didn't say the same thing about Missouri. I said nothing of the sort (and we do have a function here for you to find where, if you choose to disagree here.)
Name one thing that Ole Miss, their offense, and coaching staff has one that's mediocre. You can't. Because, there isn't.
As fast as the hyperbole train is moving I'm surprised you were able to catch up!
Unless I've missed a comment, all that's been said on this forum is "he called a great game" and "he has a great offensive mind." None of these are in dispute.
Did you watch that game?
While it's true Pelini's refusal to back out of their game plan led to how poorly LSU's defense performed, Leach schemed the hell out of LSU that night. His patterns of of mesh, as one example, had them lost.
That's not even close to what I said about Ole Miss. I've specifically pointed to their offense after this past weekends game. Leading up to the game, I was pointing out how weak their defense had been.if nothing about ole ms is mediocre..really?.

I've been told I have an uncanny ability to remember things like this: conversations about teams but specifically what I've said about them. You saying "I said the same thing about the Mizzou is patently false."no..i am not spending time dragging back through some old post...
I do remember the conversation...about Missouri....

If he's calling the plays and he's calling them to exploit the defense and what they're are giving, how is that not scheming the hell out of that defense? I'd agree with you if they were lining up in the I and running it up the middle every down. That's not a lot of scheme. Costello hit 10 different receivers that night: a result of Leach's play calling and scheme. I can't see it otherwise because of how diverse they were.Leach didn't have to scheme to beat LSU, his most basic concept worked over and over and over and over
The one play where they hit the leading fullback with the jump pass—a play basically out of their jumbo package set—was one I'd not seen before. Like I said a few days ago, he rans some variations on some plays that were basic, but the variations were things I'd never seen before.I can't agree that he called a great game.... Simply because there was a lack of JET SWEEEEEEPS!

That's not what I said and you just quoted me.if you mean...the jump pass is one uhave never seen from OLE Ms. ...ok...

I agree with you. Don't spend time looking because you won't find what you're looking for here.
When people were talking about the score of the game I said, "I think 14 may be gracious." They scored 19 as a result of a garbage time TD with :04 second left in the game. There's nothing there to support your assertion.
In the G,B, or U thread I said nothing comparable to what you've asserted.
Where do you find anything there that's similar to what I said about Ole Miss?
- I mentioned the missed call by Sanders.
- You said UM was in the bottom of the SEC and I said "I wouldn't go there yet, we don't know enough." I followed that by saying they were a scrappy team who played with a lot of intensity in that game.
- I credited the LB play to what the DL did with their assignments.
- I mentioned Roundtree is a guy we'll see on Sunday's. I have no reason to say otherwise, even now.
Quotes require “...” so...no I didn’t... referenced...yep.... quoted..no..That's not what I said and you just quoted me.
The lead fullback in the jumbo getting the reception in the middle. That's something I've not seen before further emphasized by saying "seeing variations off of plays we've seen before." {sic} There is video of the team meeting where you see their offensive coordinator tell him not to block but run through the line and keep going...a great call, with a little twist on a play we've seen for a few years with the Bama jumbo packages.

No doubt. I'm not comparing the two game plans. I am comparing the two coaches and plays being called. Both did good jobs in their respective games. The diversity in offensive design compared to what Ole Miss did is not even comparable. Miss St ran mesh over and over, and also hit wheel routes off mesh. In terms of creativity it doesn't approach what Lane did. Leach called 2 passing concepts over and over. I see your point, but nothing LSU did required Leach to think beyond play #2.

I probably stand alone here as one enjoying watching the game Lane and Lebby were calling. (Lebby did a good job with UCF as well and I had wondered how well these two would mesh when game time came around. A lot of Briles seen there this past weekend.)
