I would like to get a hotel room the day before the A game and visit the BB Museum on the Friday before.

My question are these:

1. Are there rooms still available you think?
2. Good hotel close?
3. Is the BB museum open on Friday?

Where can I get tickets to the A game and what is the cost? I have never been and would like to take the family.

The A game is free! First come first serve on the seating.

I would think there are plenty of rooms left since you have to calculate the day the game will be played. Not seen an official announcement of the game date or time but Coach Saban's website has a count down until A-day that puts it on April 17th. I would think the closest hotel you could get would be the Capstone, but don't know about it's availablity the night before a game. Most home games the team stays here the night before. Don't know if they do for A-day or not, wouldn't think so... I would think the museum would definately be open the weekend of A-day.

We always stay in Bessemer at the hotel is near several places to eat, and is about 45-60 minutes away, depending on traffic. they will have rooms at the Hampton and at the Holiday Inn Express.

The only acceptable hotels to me in Tuscaloosa are Courtyard or Fairfield (Marriott), Hilton Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express across from University Mall and of course Capstone Inn (formerly Sheraton Capstone). Capstone is already full on Friday the 16th. Don't know about the others. Good luck.

Thanks for the date. Now I can plan my personal days from work. Hopefully not all rooms are booked as I can get discounts thru my store/company (Walmart).

Now one question...When would be a good time to show up that morning concerning parking and what not?

We show up Friday and claim our tailgate spot. But I would say that anytime in the Saturday morning hours of 9 to 10, as long as you dont mind waiting around for 2 pm. Honestly, I don't think you will have any problems getting around if you come later but 9 to 10 or so is a safe estimate. Besides, RTB will have our tailgate going, if you get there early, you can hang out with us.

Not a prob. I have shown up 3 to 4 hours early for different events before. I plan to drive up friday after I get off work that morn and stay the night.

Just made our hotel reservations this week, and we are flying down this year. Not that the 12 hour drive from Ohio isn't worth it.
