I had to go find my phone to find out. It took a few minutes. I left it in the kitchen when I was making mashed potatoes. Yeah, took me 30 or some minutes to remember that. (Potatoes were really good.)

18.

1. Anything more than that, my OCD (CDO) kicks in. Last week at all our new school year meetings, one of our APs had his mailbox up because he needed to be logged in to get to other Google Docs. Just saw the window tab. Dude had 4,500+ unread emails.

I mentioned this a couple of times, here and there, around the different pages on this forum.

I turned my phone's volume off on 12/31, at midnight. I have no idea where my phone is right now. I THINK it's on the breakfast table? Or, is it?

I was looking up different gravy recipes for the mashed potatoes I made today at lunch...so, it's somewhere.

The BEST New Years resolution of my life.

@bama alum This is why I say, "find things to laugh at."

I know where my phone is now. It's on top of the fridge.

I've been playing with a cream cheese, butter, russet potatoes as well as red, Hidden Valley Ranch, chives from the garden...I was looking up recommendations on how much flour. A mashed potatoes thing...and it's killin' it.

I trimmed part of the marbling of a few rib eyes...stock for gravy.

Here's where it just gets crazy, in my view. I just continue to say, "make it make sense."

Lunch. Around a 3/4 pound rib eye. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans out of the garden. I'm thinking...prolly cost a little under $6.

It makes no sense.

I went to the meat market the other day and bought a pork tenderloin. After I cut it up, it comes about to be about $1.19 for a one inch think chop...15 of them. Versus, $8 for two if you went to someplace like Publix.

Make it make sense.

I'm always getting that number down. Email first then I do read it or not. FB the same X, and on here if I got alerts I go and get it off.

I turn off as many phone notifications as possible, and my email is maybe the most organized thing in my life. There's only about 12-15 people on this earth that I'll answer calls from, the rest better text if they want to reach me. There's a couple of apps like Ticketmaster that constantly show those update notifications that you have to open the app to clear out, and it drives me insane.

I was at the father of one of my friends the other day helping him daisy chain monitors. He had 40K unread. 40,000. I looked over it for less than a minute: 95% were things he'd signed up for. The group, this candidate, this newsletter.

I bet that was a chunk of his. I get emails from education service companies all the time.
