When he "put his name in" it was for a grade, it wasn't a case of his intent to jump and try to join the league. I recall us touching on that briefly after his announcement.

In an Oats interview (w/Wimp) he mentioned that he, Herb, and Keith Askins had talked with each other in a "conference call" type of deal. It's Oats, and others, opinion that Herb's game is a lot like Askins and they wanted Keith's "critique" on things Herb need to do to improve his game.
