If he created my daughter and knows all then he knew he was creating a lesbian and make no mistake this wasn’t a choice she made, she didn’t want to be gay, it led her to contemplate suicide and nobody wants to be in that community in today’s environment

I disagree that children aren't being targeted. Drag shows at school and Drag queens coming to schools to read to kids is not appropriate and should not happen. I agree with Musso, Homosexuals have every freedom that a heterosexual could want. Marriage, insurance, adoption, joint accounts/mortgage, anything that would constitute "the American dream". Kids have a hard enough time growing up. We shield them and protect them as best we can. You stated previously that parents have to know what goes on with a child and can't have anything done without a parents knowledge. That is not entirely true. In Alabama a child the age of 14 can request the parents to leave the room when talking to a healthcare provider. I know, because I have had to ask parents to leave the room before. It is a stupid law. If you could allow a 14 year old to make life changing decisions that could impact them forever, why not allow them to buy a hand gun, or drive, or purchase cigarettes? Average woman will mature around 20-22 and the average male will fully mature at 22-24. Those are averages, not exact. If you have to get parents permission to get a tattoo before the age of 18, then any and all surgery/meds dealing with transitioning should wait as well.

As for Lia- if a person hasn’t had gender reassignment surgery then there’s an argument there and I believe other accommodations should be made.

It’s lgbtq+ INCLUSIVE material which means essentially “little Johnny is gay, but that doesn’t make him a bad person”, some graphic stuff shouldn’t be in schools at all, but just because it teaches kids to be inclusive doesn’t make it bad.

In the little bit of back and forth here, my assumption is that you are in the south (bible belt) and you have been hurt by people of christian faith about your daughter and her situation. You have painted with some broad strokes when you call every christian a bigot. It is like northerners or the media stating that everyone in the south is racist or everyone that supports Trump or wears a MAGA hat is a goat humping toothless redneck or racist. It is a narrative that is being pushed. I have had the good fortune of being able to travel to all 4 corners of the US and 5 other countries. I have seen and witnessed racism every where I have been in the US. The worst was an Italian guy from New York. He hated everyone.

A guy I used to go to church with, would go down town Bham and attempt to hand out bibles around UAB. The police came several times and would attempt to run him off or threaten him. Last week in Canada a teenage boy was arrested for doing the exact same thing in a downtown area of Calgary.

Now people that don't think or agree with you are viewed as a bigot or racist or a hate monger, and nothing could be further from the truth. Stating there are only 2 genders is not hate speech, but to listen to the "narrative", it is.

I have listened to quite a few people speak that have transitioned, and the most interesting one was a man (in California) that transitioned and lived as a woman for 8 years, and then transitioned back to a man. ( He almost had surgery, but he didn't). During his 8 year stint as a woman, he stated that he went to college to become a licensed counselor to help others like him. His statistics, not mine. 100% of all people attempting to transition had mental health problems and 82% had been sexually abused as children.

Where people are kicking back is this: You want to use pro-nouns, that is fine. Play make believe. You can't get pissed when you look like a dude and I refer to you in a masculine way. (the entire Spanish language is masculine/feminine) I should not be required to play make believe with you. When a person has schizophrenia and hears voices, you don't have a conversation with the make believe person. This only makes it more believable for the person with schizophrenia and enforces their bad state of mental health and condones the behavior. We are on a slippery slope and it is not going to get any better. I am already seeing snippets where pedophiles are using the argument that they are born that way and are attempting to normalize their behavior. When does it stop?

Only thing I’ll say is I’m not in the Bible Belt nor the south, I’m from the south, but I’m in the north. I’ve not been hurt by anybody in the church or a christian.
