🏈 Hassenaeur

The main thing was our snapping issues. It was a combo of our OL not knowing when he was snapping, and their DL knowing exactly when we were snapping.

Kiffin is a part of the problem though because we are always snapping under 3 seconds. Not hard for the defense to know when to get off the ball.

We never draw anyone off sides because the formation isn't set in time to go on 2 or 3. Kiffin could help those guys out if the play calling system wasn't so shaky.

I kept telling my friends it wasn't Hass's fault, he was doing his job. But when Kelly went out, Chavis suddenly decided to start overloading the middle with a Nosetackle and two blitzing LB's often lining up on the center. No way we win a 1 on 3 battle, I don't care who it was.

It was so loud yesterday, I'd be surprised if we ever did anything other than silent counts... which makes it easy for the DL to jump the snap. It's just tough to deal with on the road in places like that...

Nose tackle ate his lunch on several plays, blowing up the play in the backfield. He flat out didnt block anyone on a cpl plays, had a bad snap, and stepped on Coker's foot twice. Rough start but yes he did get better as the game went on.

It's the same at home. Guys shifting around up until the snap. You see teams do the double leg kick all the time in shotgun and keep teams off balance... But we flat out are not ready to snap the ball until under 5 seconds on most plays.

If we are using those cards to help the offense, it doesn't seem to have helped very much. I don't remember having this much trouble getting the offense ready to go prior to this season.

There are plenty of reasons to criticize some of the decisions Chavis has made in his career. In this case, with this game, he did a damn good job with his adjustments.

The move of changing which gaps his DL were attacking was a smart move for a DC. It was what ... third or fourth scheme change we'd seen in the first half?

He did a little better as the game went on, but it goes back to what many have said for a long time. The back ups don't always get the game experience needed in the easier games. Some of these guys need to get some time before the last drive of the 4th in a blowout. It doesn't help that he was a guard throughout high school and doesn't have the experience at the position he needs. I guess the center(s) Bama recruited the past 2-3 years haven't panned out.
