McElwain's nomadic life finds him in Alabama


Here's a good quote from the article:

He's fired up about being here and I'm glad he is.
All indications are that he's pretty intense and that's another good thing.
This just seems like a good fit for the players and coach Mac. They all have something to prove. Should be a lot of fun to watch this develope.

As Fresno State's new offensive coordinator in 2007, McElwain's tireless work ethic - he didn't see a single volleyball match in the fall, according to the local newspaper - helped the Bulldogs go 9-4 after being 4-8 the previous year. Fresno State ranked among the top 40 in Division I for total yards and scoring. The Bulldogs capped their turnaround season with a 40-28 win over Georgia Tech in the Humanitarian Bowl as the McElwain-directed offense rolled up 571 yards.

I'm confused. According to CFN, he did nothing to improve Fresno. The link above must be way off base

I'm glad he's here, but I do feel bad for the family.

Being Military, I know something about regularly relocating. It is never comfortable being broken into a new environment, but I think we are all better for it in the long run -- somehow.

I'm not sure if his family is actually here...w/ the travel provision in his contract I suspect he has use of the University's jets.
