I think the law of averages or regressing to the mean come into play here. Georgia had been on Cloud 9 and it was bound to come crashing back down at some point.
I don't think their program is dying, but it's definitely taking a big turnover. On/Off-field issues are one thing.
I'm hearing Cultural issues are the reason some of these guys are being told to see the door and kick rocks. This came from a buddy of mine who's a Georgia donor and big into their rumor network.
I'm hearing from some others that players are getting false promises (Example: Playing time and NIL Deals) in recruiting and Kirby and Georgia aren't delivering on them.
Not sure who to believe on this, but the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle with these kinds of stories. There's some bad apples and Kirby probably wanted them gone sooner rather than later. They're bringing in quite a few in the Transfer Portal this year also. I think the demise of Georgia is way overblown on that respect but they've never been a real Powerhouse until recently much like Clemson in the past they're regressing a little bit back to what they probably should be.
That team was playing good for two straight years and losing that much to the NFL was bound to catch-up with them like it does us at times. We shall see how they bounce back. This will be the first time Kirby's narrative isn't an upward trajectory, he's always been the one trending upwards towards Saban and then he got his wins and they crowned him the King. To which he quickly got knocked off his stoop, will he pick the pieces back up? We shall find out next year!
