Even though I also have problems with DeBoerās personality and demeanor, my take is different. I actually donāt think coaches need to lose their composure on gameday. I think if you play like you practice (which is generally true) and you enter each game prepared, there is no reason to freak out on gameday. The time to freak out, throw tantrums, and yell at players is during weekly practices. Gameday is not the time to plant seeds. Gameday is the harvest, and the final score is the harvestās yield. I never appreciated Sabanās public tantrums and always thought it was a bad look for him and the program.
