| FTBL Game Week: Alabama vs. auburn (press conferences, news updates, & discussion)

Besides maybe the kick 6 bullshit, I don't ever remember a game where Bama lost being THE story in sports like this past weekend's Oklahoma game. It's all over the place. They even mentioned it last night on Monday Night Football. Just unreal

I’m willing to bet both are receiving it.. The shit talking will go to a new level.. unless the league or coaches stop it..
This is where a lot of people miss this: these are kids, athletes, raised watching the WWF...which filtered down to the NFL...which filtered down...

I pointed to this years ago.

The culture has changed. You can sit back and watch to see how it all ends. Or, you can bitch about all the changes.

"The Bama Standard" y'all say. I choose not to bitch. Just sit back and watch and let the game play its way out.

Like Brandon alluded to earlier...I'm tired of the rumors and the bullshit. Just sit back and let it play out.

Sounds familiar.... I think I said exactly this in the off season but in a different context. My comments were related to people on this board putting Bama in the NC game and claiming they would be as good or better than they were during the CNS era.

You've said this before. I pulled up the "Bama wins" thread and didn't see what you are referring to. We talked about this a few weeks ago.

Competing for a national title...different than "putting Bama in the NC game." In an improbable scenario they still are. They did.

What bullshit? The rumors that have been posted here and the people who continue to support them? And, no one asked, "is this true?"

There are some fans that need to put the tampon in the other hole.

It the shit stirers who only offer conjecture with nothing to confirm anything. And then pivot to a new pile of shit to stir when they are confronted.

I've learned to pay them no mind . . . .

The AU game is always huge, but this one is larger due to all that is going on at Bama. JMO but football is now like BB in that's it is one and done each year. You can get behind in a year and get caught up in a year. There is no more signing and stacking good players. The barn needs this game, but Kalen needs it more. I had us at 9-3 before the season but this feels more like a 7-5 season so far.

Haven't said much about the game this week.... mostly because of travel and time issues this week. But in part, because I wasn't real sure how I felt about it. I could point to a lot of areas... individual matchups, stats, and trends that really favor Alabama in this game (maybe the best of which, the game is in Tuscaloosa) and would tell you that The Tide should win this one, perhaps really comfortably. And I hope they do. But there is stuff I just can't seem to shake as we approach today's kickoff. The absence of Robinson and Lawson are 2 huge holes on Bama's defense on a day that they can ill afford any. On offense, Milroe's engine runs its best when he's full of confidence, and I think he's running on empty right now. It's up to him, his supporting cast, and the staff to try and rectify that early in this game. But to be blunt, I'm not sure if this staff and team have it in them. The Vandy and OU games both caught me off guard a bit, they obviously caught this Bama team off guard as well. I'm not making the same mistake with auburn. Even early in the year, I said they were better than they were playing. They've dealt with many of the same issues as Bama... Inconsistent QB play, mind boggling game plans, some very costly turnovers, etc. But when they play closer to their potential, they are a pretty good football team who could beat anyone in the SEC, IMO. Question remains, do they catch this Alabama team off guard for the 3rd time this season? If so, the season ends on a very sour note for ALabama later today. If not, Alabama can make a statement, at least on some levels. Questions will still remain heading into a very active off-the-field bowl season, but at least some sune would break through the cloud of negativity that's currently building over the program.

I'd be rather petty and play this dumbass's comments during warm ups daily this week.

Should've stayed quiet.
