I have been hearing a lot of bellyaching about the less than professional approach that FOX takes towards college FB. To that end, Igive you the following. Note the players listed major.

I called Fox 6 one morning before going to work and asked them if they ever proof read stuff before sending it across the ticker. They replied "no". I told them that they should since in the previous 30 seconds I have already seen 5 misspelled words.

Asked by member of the press if he majored in Underwater Basket Weaving, Joe Nameth replied "No, Journalism. Underwater Basket Weaving was too hard."

You know what bothers me is that no one can seem to get their stuff together enough these days to break ESPN's monopoly on things. I know ESPN is good in a lot of ways, but it's also bad in a lot of ways.

Networks like FOX seemingly have the resources to change the playing field, but for whatever reason, are unable, or unwilling to do anything about it.

what pisses me off is that Fox doesnt show a single college football game all year and then all of a sudden the bowls come around and they show all but 2 of the BCS games (and last year they showed all but 1 i think). The Cotton Bowl was cool to me because its a tradition but come on.

Last night's Orange Bowl was another Fox classic. I thought CBS was bad. Well, actually, CBS wouldn't be bad at all if ol goofy Verne Lundquist wasn't there.

lundquist even did the uk/u of l game sat afternoon here in lex right after fri night's bowl game...sad to hear him do basketball as well

yeah, I was crushed when I heard that voice come over my sound system. It was almost like the game was over already. I really couldn't bring myself to watch anymore of it. :frown:
