⛳ The Masters: A Tradition Like No Other.

Had the opportunity to go today, but dang work Closing out March kept me away. I want my wife to be able to go just once so she can see the pristine condition, the flowers, plants, and trees all over the course. She loves to garden, so it would be a dream for her to see how well they manicure their grounds.
That has ANWA written all over it ...

Man, I went a few times back when it was peak Tiger, and even a couple times after he won his first Masters, and the crowds following him was unbelievable. Ten rows deep for almost every shot. I caught a few glimpses of him and that was all I needed to see, and I moved on.

The one good thing about that is that it leaves a lot of the other players open to follow and watch.

weather will cooperate today or tomorrow in Augusta.
Doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate today and tomorrow.

Sunday was $75 while the first two rounds were free.

There was an application process that ran in June (?) of 2021 for the event last weekend.

Of all things I missed putting in for the lottery for 2022. I will be sure to look into that for next year for the Women's Amateur and make sure I get my name in the lottery for the men's tournament.

Mornings we wander to see the entire course. Then we usually sit at the 16th tee. From there you can see the green at 15, all of 16, and the tee at 17. Plus the green at 6. A scoreboard is right in front so we can follow along with how things are shaping up as the top groups head our way.
We'll await pics of the food. :p

Good shot here.

I will smuggle in my phone just for that!
I made the quip because of an article I read the other day from Golf Digest.

Do you know the name Charlie Rymer of The Golf Channel? I see/hear his name quite often now that he's involved in the Myrtle Beach golf scene.

He stepped out of the media area last season to make a quick call and got booted from the first round. An apology later and he was covering round two. (The article also mentioned a coach and a player's wife got the boot last season for using their cell phones.)

"As bad as running" was how cell phone use was described.

Interesting article. It mentions Poulter and one other posting a video from the club but they didn't get in trouble. Doug Ford shooting too high of a score was another and he was asked not to come back and play. Some stupid things like Fowler wearing his hat backwards. It mentions people taking water and sand and getting in trouble.
