šŸˆ ESPN says Texas will announce Sark as their Head Coach.

Two weeks ago it was shared here that the Texas AD's "vote of confidence" wasn't all that and Herman was not in a good place. Tim quipped something about Texas having it all together...a few days ago Texas came up again and it was shared they're looking at Sark.

It's not a snipe job...hunter dressed in orange, downwind, smelling like money.

A quip would be an extensive post...

My top choices would be:

1. Freeze
2. Sumlin
3. Herman
4. Tony Elliott

People need to remove Freeze from their wish list.

1. He's not going to step down from a HC position to be an OC
2. Alabama is not going to pay a buyout AND a multi-million dollar salary for an OC
3. Freeze is still on "probation" by the SEC
4. Alabama, due to Saban and the Alabama status, will have their pick of coaches who want to be here for multiple years, not a short stepping stone to a HC role.

Whole truck load of ā€˜ssuming going on there
What? can you translate that? I don't speak E-phonics or whatever that is.

Well after Sark experiences about three years of a hundred billionaire Jerry Jones' types breathing down his neck he'll regret this move. The Bama job was his had he waited for it instead his name will be mud in three or four years. I'm not mad, I'm just telling you like it is. Well back to the drawing board who replaces Saban in four or five years.

As for new OC I'd go after a the young Herman. He might be a butt like some of y'all claim, who cares because so was Kiffin. Saban ain't going to win many popularity contests outside Alabama. I can promise Herman didn't get a fair shake like Sark's not going to get. Who know's, We Hire Herman or someone else and rather Saban's opinion and his words "he's (Sark) the best assistant I've ever had under me and the assistant most ready for a big time job I've had" may change from Sark to someone else by then.

Yes I'm a bit sore on this on unlike I said above. Who knows, maybe this is a blessing like we didn't think at the time when Fran left.

I guess this means that Coach Saban plans on being around awhile!!!!! Find the positive in this:).

He's told people within the UA athletic department as recently as this past summer that his plan is to coach until 2025, then revaluate. Could life events alter that? Certainly. But that is his stated position. And I agree that Sark leaving is a pretty good indication that he knows Saban isn't hanging the straw hat up in the next couple years...
