If its an internal hire, expect them to hire a QB coach. I doubt Saban will let a former RB/TE coach become the OC/QB coach as well.

I'll be really, really surprised if it isn't an outside hire... someone with OC/play calling experience and possibly with previous HC experience (college or pro). Remember, Black Monday is tomorrow in the NFL. Guys like Adam Gase (who has coached with Saban before) are going to be out of jobs. Many others will be as well. Not saying it'll be an NFL guy, but I'd bet some get a look. Regardless, names will get tossed around but it'll almost certainly be middle of next week (at least) before anything is done.

Meanwhile, something I did hear about the Jags and Urban Meyer this weekend... The push to hire him is coming from his friend, and Jags Director of Player Personnel, Trent Baalke. Can he sell the Khan's on the hire? They are out of the box owners compared to most.

Ha, I've probably told this before... but I know a lady who had just put her house up for sell when Saban hired Mel Tucker. Tucker, fresh into town, went and looked at the house. Told her he'd buy it immediately. Then told her he wanted everything in it... furniture, appliances, dishes, etc. Said he didn't have time to get all that stuff and he'd pay her whatever it was worth. She made out very well...

I agree. I think the next guy after Flood might be our receiver coach. It looks like Banks might stick around but until next Tuesday we really will not know.
