Getting the news yesterday that one of the casualties was veteran Mark May was kinda sad. He was pretty much pro-Bama throughout his time with the network. It didn't take him all day to get to the point, was a good debater and being a great OL himself he understood that football was always a LOS game.
I liked May as well. Smart and quick to the point. Instead of getting rid of him, I'd much rather have him as a color commentator over some of the guys they have in the box on game day.

So you think ESPN's content is what's driving people to go to a plan that doesn't have ESPN? Or just the want to save money?
If they had good content, would that be enough to keep customers in a more expensive package (ie, keeping ESPN)?
Just wondering, how many of these 12 million viewers that have left the premises have returned on the internet package? Just wondering how they are counted against that total figure? Obviously, if they are simply doing without cable it's a lot bigger than ESPN. There are as many movie fanatics, if not more, out there who just have to have the movie tier. Are they too just as responsible for cord cutting and how many of them have simply re-upped at Hula/Netflix?
