LSU got lucky with a transfer QB, similar to what Oklahoma has been doing. Can they keep it up? That will be the big question. I think some of their recruiting losses yesterday may indicate that players have the same question.

Well the highest rated player they lost was to Maryland, a hometown school. They still pulled two of the Top 10 players out of Georgia, the top rated defensive back out of Florida via California, top linebacker out of Virginia. I don't think players are saying that at all. This is a class LSU can be very proud of and one we have to watch, because they are still after Zachary Evans and others. They got multiple guys we really wanted in Gilbert and Webb.

All that matters is we filled needs and it could be reminscent of the 2008 class ...to the extent it's heavy on in-state kids who happen to be outstanding. There are some DOGS in this group and I think some will help immediately. I agree Lsu had a lightning in bottle type of year and u saw their class had a let down day yesterday. I believe these kids that were taunted after the lsu game by the lsu players will remember that shit every time we play and O really shot his coonass mouth off alot the past month. I think the SEC title goes through us next year if we can get lucky and shake the injury bug.

And lsu had a very good class , I have doubts that staff can coach them up on a consistent basis. Burrow isn't a generational qb either , he was a 59% passer than got help from a great scheme by Brady. I see this year as very similar to what 2010 was and I won't be surprised if we roar back the way that group did. Not concerned long term about Fisher , Gus, or even Lane.

In all honesty, have any teams had undefeated success year after year? What LSU has done is transform into a top tier program as you mentioned. They have always recruited and had talent, but it seems they have finally got the coaching and the right pieces to the puzzle the last couple of years. I think they can hang in the 9-10, maybe 11 win area, but their success this year was one for the books. Kind of like our year and a half with Tua at the helm, it just won't happen again in my mind. Of course people said that about Bear, and we have Saban, so who really knows.

And what happens with success? Other teams want the leadership (coaches) that helped to generate the success. So, either LSU loses the coaches or has to come up with more $$$ to keep them (for a year).

Yeah, but it's not like LSU has been some bottom of the barrel program. They fired Les Miles, who was averaging ten wins a year and won a Natty. They ain't going anywhere. They won't be like us mind you, but they aren't dipping to six and seven wins regardless if they lose a coach or not. Coach O ain't going anywhere anyways. With the talent in state and surrounding its borders, LSU will have zero issues pitching an assistant coach to come there.

Finebaum is a troll but very good at it. He has trolled his way to big time bucks. I never cared for the caller parts but he would have good guests.

I watched the College Football live show and they covered recruiting. Luginbill was on the show (do not recall the other 2). They started out the show talking about Clemson and then went straight to LSU. From their I think they went to Oregon. Not one word about Bama until they finally mentioned Bryce Young. That was pretty much it. You have the #2 recruiting class and they are an after thought smh... Now that I think about it OSU was not mentioned either.

They spent a LOT of time on the ohio team. I DVRd the stuff and watched it last night.
There almost seemed to be an intentional omission of Bama with a couple of quick mentions.
Here's to hoping BAMA forces its way into the conversation starting this bowl season and into and through next season! Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Well who is though? Not even Ohio State or Oklahoma hold to that standard. Clemson just recently has. All that's left is us. I just think LSU will be in contention. They ain't going anywhere. And mind you I said this last year too and everyone jumped my case for it, and they exceeded expectations.

I would say two of those years was more due to our injuries than the Auburn abilities.

I don’t read tea leaves or have a crystal ball. I can say that I believe that will be one QB battle that I would love to see firsthand, each and every day when it comes that time. Bryce comes from a QB factory HS powerhouse and Lia does have some advancements of his own. Going to be some !!!
Right now, we may still have #13 slinging “pineapples and coconuts” next season with a pretty savvy #10 waiting in the wings. Really, a bunch of possible scenarios that could play out with or without #13.
