🏈 Do Group of 5 teams belong in the playoffs?

Yes, they definitely have played better than Notre Dame, Washington, and Michigan State. They may not have scored a lot of points, but they played really good defense. We never tested them deep, but we also did not have to due to Robinson killing it in the run game. They also didn't give Bryce much time to pick them a part deep either which was impressive.

No. They don't belong. This isn't debatable.

Cincinnati has a 3* offensive line.

Curious to see how the SEC handles 16 teams and a larger playoff from a scheduling standpoint standpoint. They're already afraid of a 9 game conference schedule.
Gonna have to go 9 games I believe, maybe 10, if you keep divisions. Even dropping cross division rivalries means it takes 16 years to play the other division home and away if there are only 8 games.

I think 4 team pods have to happen. They are the only way I can see keeping rivalries while also playing every team home and away during 4 year cycle. It creates a weird looking cycle over time and requires 9 games still but it works better than divisions.
