A lot is being made about this being the season that Tennessee is back. They may be, and if so, good for them. I think whipping a good UT team is a lot more fun when you can dash their dreams. When they suck, it is just not as fulfilling.
All that said, I'm sure there will be tons of hype going into that game this coming year, but I just don't see this being their year to get it done against us. Terry has mentioned it a few times and I think it is HUGE that for the first time in years that UT does not have an off week before they play us. Last year it was obvious that we were at the end of a long run (7 or 8 weeks straight) and they had fresh legs coming into that game. Leading up to this years game.....
They have a run of UF, UGA, and aTm.
We have a run of Kent St, UK, Arkansas.
Granted the Arky game should be an old slug fest of big man on big man. (gratuitous Dave Rowe comment)..
Either way, both teams should come into the game on an even field of being worn down, and dinged up. If that is the case, we have more talent and more depth and I think that will be the difference in the game and will ultimately give us the W.
The next week is a bit more worrisome to me. aTm has flown under the radar this year and if Knight can give them some decent QB play, I think they will make some noise in the west. How much, I don't know? They will have a week off before they play us and we will have just finished 7 weeks straight. I look for this game to mimic last years UT game. We are running on fumes and need the upcoming off week to finish down the stretch.
