| PRO Deshaun Watson accused of indecent conduct in several civil lawsuits

The problem with civil cases is the burden for proof is far far lower than criminally. That’s why all the BLM, anti cop folks want qualified immunity removed because then regardless of what criminal charges victims’ families can sue cops without the burden of proof.

If the lawyer did in fact forward the evidence to the DA and law enforcement and wants a grand jury convened then there has to be some real damning evidence against him

Grand juries don't exist in civil cases. He must want it to be a criminal action.

Deshaun's marketing managers response, puzzling.

Ironically Buzbee, big time TAMU backer. Has a building on campus with his name. Also bought a billboard in Houston lobbying for the Texans to get Manziel, kinda laughable when Johnny's problems were well known in high school.

Buzbee has won some HUGE cases.

Interesting situation playing out. One lawsuit followed up with 11+ more gals claiming the same thing. I’d expect to see some sound evidence from the accusers as they take this to a grand jury or trial. More than just a she said he said. Show some text messages, emails, call history, Uber receipts to get to his hotel/house, airline tickets, knowledge of the hotel room or inside of his residence, distinguishing physical characteristics of his self (that aren’t easily seen when he’s in public, etc. Things the ladies should have and things they should know. They could sift through and see if these ladies have legit basis for a claim pretty quick.
Waiting for the defense to mount by asking the accusers to describe DW's schlong.

"You said he showed it to you. What does it look like?"

"I intentionally didn't get a good look... I tried looking away as soon as I saw it"

"OK, but a penis is pretty unmistakable. The shock-factor alone determines this. Let's make this an easier question, with unmistakable characteristics that you'd notice at even the briefest of glances... Was he circumcised, or no?"

Balbricker: Now, Mr. Carter. I know this is completely unorthodox. But I think this is the only way to find that boy. Now that penis had a mole on it - I'd recognize that penis anywhere. In spite of the juvenile snickers of some, this is a serious matter. That seducer and despoiler must be stopped; he's extremely dangerous. And, Mr. Carter, I'm certain that everyone in this room knows who that is. He's a contemptible little pervert who...

Balbricker: tallywhacker had a mole on it. And that mole is the key to it.

There was a case years ago that followed this strategy. Not sure what to Google to find it, though.

Lawsuit accuses Deshaun Watson of deleting Instagram messages, contacting women in attempt to settle cases (espn.com)

HOUSTON -- Three new lawsuits accusing Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct were filed Sunday night, including one that claims the Houston Texans quarterback is deleting Instagram messages and contacting the women "who formally provided him massages, in an attempt to settle" those cases.

The three lawsuits, which were available Monday morning on the Harris County District Clerk's website, bring the total number of lawsuits filed against Watson to 19.

All three lawsuits accuse Watson of sexually assaulting women during massage sessions by "purposely" touching them with his penis and state that his "behavior is part of a disturbing pattern."

The third lawsuit also includes the accusation that Watson is deleting the Instagram messages and contacting the plaintiffs "as a result of the repeated lawsuits against him."

Ok, now I'm starting to even wonder about validity. I know athletes take very special and even different care of their bodies, but 19 different masseuses and all them sexually harassed? That's serial if these are true and he needs to be jailed. If not true, the license needs to be pulled from this attorney.

The sheer number of lawsuits is going to make it very hard to defend against these unless his lawyer has the magic jenga block that makes them all collapse

if (big if) they stand beside the “it’s not about money” statement then all 19 go to court and that will be epic in and of itself

apparently criminal charges have still not been filed according to statements by the DA office
