I honestly can't even fathom the absolute sheer ignorance (or worse) that it would require someone to have inside their head to ask the question "Why in the world would a place literally called 'the center of disease control and prevention' possibly hire someone that would be in charge of potential quarantines?" Let alone that the would do something like that as a deadly virus was hitting another country at the same time. Ignore all of that, it would take you like five seconds to learn that the CDC has quarantine offices at literally every port of entry in the country at all times. But that person would need to care to learn what's actually true, rather than just believing any nonsense you read on Twitte or Facebook, as long as it supports some moronic conspiracy of course.

Just my opinion, Georgia has a death penalty and both should be executed based on what I've seen.

Too bad this videographer didn't have the courage to engage during the incident. He could have saved this man's life.

Sounds like the guy who captured the video is involved in this. The dad was in law enforcement, so should be held to a higher standard.

Mr Arbery was murdered by two lowlifes and the police even said in their report that they should be arrested. Two local DA let them go because they were friends of hte family. GBI got involved to do the right thing. Small town politics and racism on display and now all I am seeing is how this proves the entire country is full of racist white people.

What thought goes through your mind that you can shoot anyone running down the street black or white. Convenient that it was white on black shooting. Local good ole boy network didn't work. Sad to see the Goodyear plant in Gadsden's shutdown will be permanent. Many companies are moving to permanent shutdowns in the U.S., particularly those that, like the Gadsden plant, have been in decline.

I had relatives and friends work in that plant. At one time it was the biggest employer in that area.

On another note, I have a client who has just published an article where a business owner on King submitted an editorial of sorts...he's suggesting shutting down King to auto traffic to allow businesses to hit the streets.

Part of me LOVES that idea.

I grew up in Gadsden, the unions did all they could to shut down republic steel and Goodyear. Gave me my bad taste for unions

I bet that stretch gets 10,000 vehicles a day. Do you think Meeting could take up the slack?

On the restaurant guy, many of the food service companies have cut inventories and instituted direct sales to public. With the beef and pork supply issues, it might be a bit recovering.
