| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

Strange, they're showing videos of front line health care workers getting vaccinated in Arizona. Why are they selling this so hard?

Someone is literally giving a bio of each one, then the frontline worker comes up and gives a speech and then gets the shot. One after another.

This kinda shit is a turnoff for me.

This maybe old news, I don't have cable tv and am watching via Samsung smart tv - News Now channel.

Yeah, you and them are. Don't be a "moron" as you put it and leave your house if you're that concerned with no mask wearing folks. If the virus is that serious to you, don't put yourself in that position. But I'm guessing you want to do what you want and force others to conform to what you want.

Coach is running a freaking company line just so he can be left alone and do his job. You and I both know when he is actually meaning something and when he's doing what he is being told. He also tested positive for the virus while supposedly wearing a mask and following guidelines, and put hundreds at risk if you want to get down to it. I'm not faulting him, but just making a point that it doesn't matter what you do, it can still infect you.

I also want to add that it speaks volumes about you not condemning his actions, yet calling her a moron when she did nothing. There was one aggressor here and only one that broke laws by stalking someone and harassing them. Highly doubt that badass does that to a man not wearing a mask.

Election has died down, mainstream is moving to the next big thing.
 
Been on this earth awhile and one thing I have learned, you are not going to influence in a positive and lasting way by yelling, screaming and telling someone how stupid they are. Now if someone is really beaten down it is possible but my statement has the caveat of influence in a positive and lasting way.

Honestly when someone starts yelling, screaming and trying to intimidate they usually get the opposite result. People do not hear the message even if it is accurate.

The video lady said we know who you voted for. It was funny. The guy was being an asshole. If he wanted to make someone else wear a mask he should have been a politician. There is a revolt going on about mask and lockdowns. The only thing that works is social distancing. If you ain't around someone with it you can't get it. He was trying to get close.

While we're talking about assholes, can we get back to the point of "what would you do" if an asshole like that was accosting someone you didn't know, what would you do? Are you tucking your shirt in your coaching shorts and backing him up or are you saying, "step the hell back?"

Now, what if it were your wife? Your sister? Your daughter?

Here's a note about history. Don't piss off the wrong person.

Why do we not see videos like this where a guy is talking to someone his own size, gender, age....?

He chose who he confronted strategically. He knows that he would not get away with this otherwise he would get his butt kicked. Big talker against a women.

I have another question to extend yours, why do we not see these videos on national media?

I‘m not really defending the guy, and yes he appeared to be a douche (But honestly, I only watched a few seconds of the video. Everyone in it seemed to have issues). It is easy to get a rise out of some of you though.

But the facts remain, wearing a mask is for a slight protection for yourself, and a not so slight protection for others. It’s December, 2020 and no reasonably intelligent person who hasn’t been radicalized needs that explained. This is not debatable and pointless if you believe otherwise.

Just wear the damn mask and quit trying to rationalize what you don’t want to do in the first place. I don’t like it any more than any of you do, but I do it. Wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands. It really isn’t much to ask especially this close to the vaccine finish line.

No has ever claimed that masks are 100% effective, especially for the wearer of the mask. I also can’t believe in December that still needs to be explained.

Do you feel the same way about smoking in public places? We demand certain actions, or inactions, for the well being of others. No different here except that wearing masks is for a finite amount of time. Again, it is utterly amazing that this needs to be explained.

You and no one else can fully explain or backup anything in regards to this virus. The CDC has changed their guidelines countless times even after a year of this. Tests have proven to be incorrect and not proven a lot of the time. Hospital numbers have proven to be falsified in a lot of cases. Yet you think this guy's actions are beneficial. I don't smoke cigars around my kids and don't want people blowing smoke in their face, no. So you know what, I don't go fucking near smokers with my kids. Gee, who would have thunk I had a decision to make and instead of bitching at them, I just move to a different spot because smoking is their right as much as it's my right to not be around them. On top of it, any smoker I have come across respects me and does not smoke near my kids or even asks me if it's ok if they smoke around me when I'm not with my kids. At the casino I have to put up with it and make that decision because I want to gamble and a smoker was there before me and I deal with it. Now if they chase me down and come after me, we have a problem, but that's not what is happening in this video or in society. And if masks aren't proven, then why do you and others want to force them on others that don't wear them?
