| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

There's zero "strong evidence" that masks do not work. Every scientist worth his salt says exactly the opposite.

Convince me I'm wrong. Post some evidence.
Two nurses that I know wore mask came. down with it hard. They wore n95 masks Also @planomateo s sister has it. She wore mask. 78 year old friend wore mask and he and his wife had it. Show me evidence that mask work.

You're the authoritative figure on which doctors are good and bad just because of who your dad is? Or are you all knowing like every other know it all?

This is easy. There are scientific articles that say masks work and there are scientific articles that say they don't work. If you believe one over the other you are biased. I prefer my lying eyes.
Mask don't work
Masks and respirators do not work.

There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, which all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses, or respiratory illnesses believed to be transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles.

No idea how my sister caught it. I would imagine she's in the high risk category considering she works in the ICU and is dealing with patients who have it.

She did pass it to the rest of her immediate family.

With regards to a mask bring safe or not. I don't think it's a matter of questioning whether the mask is safe or not. But more in how people fiddle with their masks, what type of mask is it, does it fit properly, etc as to why they aren't as safe as people may think.

Haven't commented yet, but very sorry to hear that your sister got sick. Did anyone else have it as bad as she did? Hopefully not, and hopefully they are all better now.

Haven't spoken with her on the phone, only know what she's shared via text. Believe she was hit the hardest.

Hey everyone! I thought I would let you guys know what I have been up to lately.

I volunteered for the vaccine trials for Covid-19, held at UAB. The vaccine is the one that was created in Russia.

I received my first shot yesterday at 4:00 pm, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувствую себя немного странно и я думаю, что вытащил ослиные уши.

I failed to mention, one of my closest friends dad tested positive about a month ago and is getting plasma treatment, he lives in India. Believe India started plasma treatments early on.

I spoke with my sister last night. She said it's a beating. She understands the struggles her patients have been going through with covid-19. As of yesterday, she was on day 10.

She told me it's a struggle to drink liquids, which is important. One of the biggest issues with this is pneumonia. Once this gets in the lungs it gets much more challenging to treat.

Remdesivir seems to be working with patients, you'll need to sign waivers/releases to use this. This is reducing the amount of time spent intubated. The medicine itself sounds interesting, not necessarily in a good way.

FDA has also approved plasma treatment as well, though not sure if it's been officially approved or just emergency use only.

I haven't received my blood work from my blood donation. Curious to know if I have antibodies.

No, they're part of a team and subject to school restrictions, it doesn't matter if it's blue or black lives matter, you follow the rules.

Really, the only problem I have with this is, it was to commemorate the 9/11 first responders. If it had been for just another Friday night and you had the team wanting to run the various flags out, outside of the US flag, then fine. I feel that the superintendent stepped over the line and suppressed free speech and made a political statement of his own. Public education is already taking a lot of criticism for "indoctrinating these students with Leftist ideals and brainwashing". I haven't experienced or see it firsthand, but it is being put out there. The superintendent could've squashed that with allowing the flags to fly for the 9/11 night.

Damn.

True, but I think the punishment far exceeds the crime. Just take the flags away, and tell them 'Don't do it again, or you will be expelled.' Instead, they make a mountain out of a molehill. But, then again it is O-high-O...so, there's that.
