I like the $5 a ticket. It's part of being at school here. If you wanna pay $5 a ticket here enroll in classes... Regular tickets are getting overpriced. You have to buy into a program just to be able to pay the face value for a ticket. Its all about who has the most money. And most students dont have that kind of money so it make sence to give them cheap tickets...

Enroll in classes?

Geez. Graduated, give money to the Athletic Department every year...more than one program for that matter.

If a student doesn't have the money to pay more than 5 bucks a ticket, I say get a freakin' job.
All im saying is part of being a student here is cheap tickets.. Some schools dont even charge for tickets to football games. And one of the big attractions of alabama is the football program. When you ask someone out of state why they came here one of thier answers is always the football games..

I sold a business in Mphs and came to Alabama when I was 25 to be closer to football games. Hand to God.

But, I also didn't use student tickets for games.

Where is that thread where the petulant freshman tried to lecture us about student tickets and attendance and the need to ENLARGE the current student section?

I'm plussing your rep meter for the use of this word! Nicely played!

Its really ok that you have Dominos on speed dial.

You want to fill the student section with willing attendees? Since they keep a count of tickets swiped, they should allow free entry for any valid student ID following the end of the first quarter (up to capacity, of course). Students with tickets who really want to attend will be there by then, and ticketless students who want to see some ball can tough it out for a quarter.

That was easy.

I'll be moving on to solve the financial bailout next.

The new ticket system is to blam i think. If you had a actual ticket you could sell it or give it away right before the game. Now that its on our ACTcards its hard to transfer right before the game.
One a differnet note. Since they do keep track of it now if there are empty seat at say start of the second they should open it to anyone with a student ID....

Sorry, didn't read all the pages in the thread. I rarely have an original thought.

On to the financial bailout. I think we should put Barney Frank in charge...
