Cowboys Deal for Amari Cooper

I'm a huge Cooper fan... But getting a #1 for a dude who I believe led the league in drops last year on a team going no where fast is kind of a no brainer.

Well, he's got 10 years and a 100 million dollars to figure it out. So far, he reminds me of the same head coach that got fired from Tampa Bay in 09.

Yes and no. Were they supposed to be good this year?

I look at it like this - If Cooper finishes this year very strong, what good does that do Oakland? They're not going to be good either way.

If he continues to struggle to produce at a high level (even due to bad QB play) then what? Couldn't get a first rounder for him next year.... Shocked they could this year!

Under Del Rio they produced one of the best offenses in the NFL. A season removed from a 12-4 season. It was their defense that couldn't plug enough holes. In one season he has taken a QB in Derek Carr that has been to 3 straight pro bowls games that now looks like he can't complete a short pass. And hardly anything dynamic about their offense in general.

I don't think draft picks are going to help.

Yeah but look at Luck and RG3 before their injuries.... That can change a dude.

Amari ain't gonna do much for them right now... But a draft pick is under a reasonable contract for 4-5 years and has value... could even use it to get another OL since that's an issue

It's only a good trade if they get value outta it. They've trade two proven first round picks (top 5) for two unknown first round picks.

I've never been in the John Gruden camp. Never understood the love for the guy.

How is Luck any different from before his injury? Dude is like second in the league in touchdowns and is just coming off of one of the most efficient games in NFL history (15 completions with 4 TDs).

Good point... Also took what, 2-3 years to get here? Grudens on Game 6?
